The Lock-Up Volunteer Program attracts people with a range of backgrounds and skills, a shared commitment to the organisation and a desire to help us carry out our day to day activities.
Volunteers play an integral role in the operation of The Lock-Up. We could not open our doors to the public without them. Our volunteers work hard to create a welcoming and informative centre filled with history, art and culture.
VOLUNTEERS’ ROLES
Lock-Up Volunteers provide invaluable support to staff and a high standard of customer service to visitors.
Volunteers can engage with The Lock-Up through participation in front of house visitor services, assisting administrative staff, research projects, assisting with exhibitions, public and education programs and other events.
As The Lock-Up expands there are often new developing roles for our volunteers as well as special projects that require volunteer assistance.
Anyone over the age of 16 may apply to volunteer with us.
