MAYHEM & MADNESS BALL
RAISING LOOT FOR THE LOCK-UP
7PM SATURDAY 29 APRIL 20017
Two years ago the lock-up relaunched as a contemporary art space dedicated to bringing incredible cultural experiences to Hunter Region audiences. We’ve showcased amazing works by local, national and international creatives, inspired imaginations, challenged perceptions, supported Newcastle’s creative community and welcomed over 27,000 people through the doors. With your support we’ve firmly planted ourselves on the national arts stage, a little arts org punching well above our weight…
Now it’s your turn to give back! We need your help to ensure The Lock-Up continues to deliver a radical, interesting, experimental artistic program for many years to come, building on our successes and continuing to push the boundaries of contemporary art right here in this city.
THE MAYHEM AND MADNESS BALL is your chance to have a rip-roaring time knowing that you are contributing in real ways to The Lock-Up continuing to flourish, supporting our operations and our ability to bring the very best in contemporary creative practice to Newcastle.
So dolls, flappers, dames and lady leggers, capos, dons, Joe Brooks, bulls and bad asses, shebas and sheiks… Get ready for a ritzy caper… grab your fedoras and feathers… bring ya chedda and get fabulous and freaky at your local slammer for one night only. Swagger to the saloon, graze at the feasting table, sip at the wine bar, dance the night away and put your hand up for a ripper as works by some of Newcastle’s finest go under the hammer at The Lock-Up.
